• supported access to healthy, affordable food by thanking Mayor Bloomberg and City Council Speaker for creating a Food Policy Task Force and the position of Food Policy Coordinator.
• successfully asked the Mayor and City Council to maintain more than $100 million in funding to enhance and expand opportunities for children and youth in the city's Adopted FY'08 Budget, notably $4.2 million to maintain reduced caseloads in general prevention programs and continue providing increased support to at-risk families, keeping children safe in their homes.
